How many of you are making money with affiliate marketing? I see many online gurus offering affiliate licensing deals to their following. This helps them boost their online presence, sell more services and promote loyalty in their tribe by helping the members make money too.

I’m just starting out but I think it’s a great idea. Whether I’m referring Uber and Lyft to my Airbnb clients to helping Russell Brunson sell more Clickfunnels subscriptions, affiliate marketing is quick and easy. I’m also learning to be an Amazon affiliate seller.

The Amazon program is pretty slick. Once you find something on Amazon that is catchy and a good value for your following, you can post it to them. Once they click on your link to take a look at it, any purchases that they make that day are credited to you. It’s pretty sweet and it’s a fun way to add value to your tribe.

1. Build the Tribe
2. Engage the Tribe
3. Market to the Tribe

Don’t put the cart before the horse and try to sell a bunch of cr@p to people who don’t know, like and trust you. Offer them something of value over and over and then ask them to buy. With affiliate offers, you can tell them to get a free book (e.g. Dotcom Secrets by Russell Brunson) or take a discount from Uber. You can suggest they look at this funny thing on Amazon. These small suggestions look like fun or valuable items without looking like you’re trying to sell them. Find other free giveaways. Read Dotcom Secrets yourself and see how the master does it. And have some fun!
